Objects, NOIR ROW ART SPACE
19.10.2024-1.12.2024
The Objects, an exhibition brings together things that were pivots to the artist’s creations. While some objects were the outsets of particular artworks, several could be seen as finished pieces in their own right and others might seem to imply readings beyond a viewer vis-a-vis. These objects are displayed together with Noir Row Art Space’s collection—creating a community of objects that interact with each other. Not only in its own historical and cultural aspects but also includes communication through physical matter, chemical reactions, or other non-verbal forms of object language. Objects in the exhibition, some pieces have ‘privacy’ or ‘publicness’. Some of them act as bridges between others while some pieces have their own stories that separate from their peers independently.
The exhibition invites spectators to explore the role of each object that is important in building human and non-human social relationships and networks or the role of ‘who’ or ‘thing’ in determining the course of the world. The Objects exhibition aspires to present an institutional, independence, and complexity of each object that exists beyond human perception and use. (Exhibition statement: Phiraya Ardwichai)
